Adding interactive video to your Shopify website is so simple with our GhostRetail Shopify App.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Once the app is installed and you've created an account or signed in, you'll need to toggle the app ON. When you're customizing your website, on the top left of your screen there are 3 icons. The bottom icon will be the App Embed section. Click here and ensure that the GhostRetail App has been toggled 'On.'
1. Navigate to the Shopify App Store and install the Ghost Shoppable Video & UGC App.
2. After installing the Ghost Video App, you will be prompted to Sign Up for Ghost. Simply enter your email address and click Create Account. If you already have an account on Ghost, click 'I have an account' to Sign in with your email and password.
3. Once you have Authenticated with Ghost, you will have the ability to jump right into Creating Videos, Managing your Collections, or heading to your Performance Dashboard right from the App page. You can also copy your Collection IDs here for when you begin adding videos to your website.
4. At this point you can navigate to your Ghost Admin and create all the Videos + Collections you desire to add to your website. For more information on Creating Video Collections click here.
5. After your Videos and Collections are set, head back to Shopify and open your Online Store and click Customize on your theme.
6. This step is important. On the top left of your screen there are 3 icons. The bottom icon will be the App Embed section. Click here and ensure that the GhostRetail App has been toggled 'On.' If this isn't toggled on, you will not be able to see your videos once you've added them.
7. On the page that you wish to add Ghost Videos, click 'Add Section' in your page builder and select Apps > Ghost Videos.
8. Paste the Collection ID for the Video Collection you want to feature in the field. You can get this from your App Page as seen in Step 3, or in your Ghost Admin but navigating to your Collections and clicking into a Collection and copying the Collection ID as seen below. Once you paste your Collection ID, you should see your videos populate in your page. You may need to save changes for this to show up.
Please note - you can't access this page for your Default Collection so it is recommend to always create a collection for your videos you want to feature.
9. From here, you can select your chosen video display format (Carousel, Floating Widget, Inline), and drag the section to wherever you'd like to on your page.
10. You're all set! Publish your changes and your videos are now active on your website. You can continue to make changes to your Collections and Videos from the Ghost Admin, having them reflect automatically on your website. In addition, Ghost Pro unlocks Customization for your Videos and Collections, giving you even more control over how they appear on your website with colors, fonts, padding, corners, and more!
