Overview

With phone and email calls-to-action (CTAs), you can add phone numbers and email submission forms directly to your videos, making it easier for viewers to reach out to you instantly after watching your content. This is designed to boost your lead generation efforts by enabling real-time connections and tracking conversion success more effectively.

What are Phone and Email CTAs?

The Phone and Email CTAs allow you to add clickable phone numbers and email forms within your videos. This way, viewers can call you or send an email directly from the video, creating a seamless communication channel. It’s a perfect way to transform video engagement into direct connections—whether it’s a call from a potential client or an email submission for more information.

Where can you find Phone and Email CTAs in your Ghost Admin?

Video Editor

To add a Phone or Email CTA, simply navigate to the video editor in your Ghost Admin. You’ll see the option to add a phone number or email address alongside other link CTAs. Just click the icon, fill in the details, and save your changes.

📞 Make a Phone Call

Encourage viewers to reach out via email by adding a designated link/CTA to your videos. Here's how:

  • On Mobile: When viewers click the phone icon, their device’s default call interface will appear, pausing the video and allowing them to call you instantly.

  • On Desktop: The phone CTA triggers the desktop’s default calling app (e.g., FaceTime), making it easy for viewers to connect.

📧 Send an Email

Let your audience know they can reach you via the phone, if that is their preferred method of communication. Here's how:

  • When clicked, an email form will pop up, pausing the video. Viewers will be prompted to enter their email and a message before clicking “Send.” Once submitted, an “Email Sent!” confirmation will appear, and the video will resume.

Tracking Your Success

With this update, you can better understand how your videos drive conversions.

Here’s what you can track:

Phone CTA Metrics

  • Total Phone Calls Triggered: Use this alongside your total Video Plays to measure your video’s conversion rate for phone calls.

Email CTA Metrics

  • Total Email Submissions: Combine this with your total Video Plays to evaluate how effectively your videos are generating leads.

How to Add Phone and Email CTAs

Adding phone and email CTAs to your videos is simple:

  1. Open your video in Ghost Admin.

  2. Choose the phone or email option.

  3. Fill in the required fields:

    • For phone, enter a valid North American number.

    • For email, provide the receiving email address.

  4. Save your changes to make the CTAs live in your video.

By implementing these features, you're not only making it easier for your audience to engage with you, but you're also creating a more personalized and interactive viewing experience.

Phone and Email CTAs are exclusive to Ghost Pro and Enterprise plans.

If you’re on the Basic plan and want to upgrade, go to Settings > Billing + Plan or click “Upgrade to Pro” in your Ghost Admin.
