Connecting your Instagram account to Ghost allows you to extend the life of your social content by leveraging it to create interactive and engaging video experiences to boost engagement on your website.

Important Note:
If you run into issues authenticating with a Business account, please try a personal account. You may have a Business Instagram, but not a Meta Business account which is required for the Business Account authentication. Don’t worry - if you select Personal or Business, this sign up option does not impact your Instagram Connection functionality.
Connect Instagram from Your Video Library
1. From your Admin Dashboard > Video Library, click ‘Connect’ under the Instagram logo.
2. Select the type of account you want to access (Personal or Business/Professional Account) and click ‘Continue.’ If you do not know which type of account you have, check out this article.
3. A new tab will open with Facebook Meta’s Authentication steps. From this page, you will need to select which Instagram account you wish to connect to Ghost.
Note: Access for Ghost can be revoked at any time from your Facebook Settings.
4. Once your account has been authenticated, your Instagram videos will appear in a pop-up for you to check which ones you want to add to your library.
You’ll also be able to access your Instagram account from the video create page.
Add a Video from Instagram to Create Your Ghost Video
1. From your Admin Dashboard > Videos, click ‘Create One Now’ or ‘+Create.’
2. Select ‘Add a Video’ and click on the Instagram tab.
3. If you haven’t authenticated with Instagram yet, click ‘Connect’ and follow the steps below. If you have, all your videos on Instagram will appear here for you to select from.
4. Select the type of account you want to access (Personal or Business/Professional Account) and click ‘Continue.’ If you do not know which type of account you have, check out this article.
5. A new tab will open with Facebook Meta’s Authentication steps. From this page, you will need to select which Instagram account you wish to connect to Ghost.
Note: Access for Ghost can be revoked at any time from your Facebook Settings.
6. Once your account has been authenticated, your Instagram videos will always display in this tab unless access is revoked.
Now that your Instagram account is connected, you can select reels directly from Instagram to create your interactive videos with Ghost. All you need to do from here is tag your links and see web engagement and conversions soar!
You can connect multiple Instagram accounts by repeating the above steps. Toggle between your accounts as needed to create your videos.
You will only be able to access the Instagram accounts that you have connected; however, once your videos are added to your Ghost video library, they can be accessed by all users with access to your company/account.
